141 Blankets Made for Project Linus
at D.A.L.E. Blanket Day Event
Dale, WI – Over 65 community members turned out for the Dale Area Leaders & Entrepreneurs (D.A.L.E.) Blanket Day Event on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Town of Dale Municipal Building. During the four hours of the event, volunteers made 141 blankets for Project Linus, a non-profit organization that provides new, handmade washable blankets, quilts, and afghans to children and teens who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.

We well-exceeded our goal of 100 blankets and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun working together.”
Over $1,700 in monetary donations was collected from area businesses and individuals by D.A.L.E. and used to purchase fleece for the event.
