D.A.L.E. Meeting Minutes

Present:  Sue Close (Sue’s Beauty Boutique),Lynn Hicks (Yourr Electric), Joe Hicks (Yourr Electric), Laurie Degal (Degal’s Repair), Jean Kable (Wolf River Community Bank),  Katie Beilke, and Sam & Tammy Plaski (Plaski Plumbing), Brenda Hansen (1st State Bank)

Old Business:
There are 3 boxes of placemats to be delivered to area restaurants. Several members volunteers to handle the delivery.

DALE display at the town hall was redone for the fall. There are now card holders by the case. ALL BUSINESSES... Stop at the town hall and add your business cards to the display.

We will not be doing Brat Fry's at the Farm Market next summer. We are looking for other ideas for functions that would allow us to further market our businesses.

D.A.L.E. Fall flyers were sent out via the post office since the Town did not have a newsletter. Every business was featured without additional cost. Cost for the flyers to go to Dale, and some residences in Readfield, Greenville, and Hortonville was approximately $1,800. Excellent job on this project Brenda!

New business:

Reviewed treasurer’s report. 

Attendance --- Attendance at monthly meetings has been falling. Even meetings that we have outside presenters come in have been sparsley attended. A survey will be sent out to allow all members input into what we can do to improve / change for the future.

Donations - We have monies available for donations to people or groups within the Dale community. We will be taking suggestions during November and voting on disbursement at the December 5th meeting. Various ideas were discussed and will be communicated via e-mail.

Tammy presented the Linus Project as an opportunity for either donations or for D.A.L.E. to sponsor a community wide gathering to make blankets for the cause. Linus Project collects materials and makes blankets for various fire departments, police departments and hospitals who deal with children in stressful situations.
